Between 2007 and 2010 I produced a series of children’s shows by interviewing young musicians from around the world.   My goal was to inspire young listeners to get enjoy culture and play their own music.

 

The interviews included, for example, young composers, klezmer and jazz bands, chanson singers, bluegrass siblings and took place in places as far apart as Belarus, Guatemala, California, Toronto, Warsaw, New York! My son, Louis, was often the moderator for the WDR series. I will collect the short features and put make them accessible. But here’s one example for now.
